Comments: The story of 2 Australian airmen: the author, a navigator and Triggs, a pilot. They trained in Canada with the Empire Air Training Scheme After training, they drafted into RAF Ferry Command and ferried Hudsons across the North Atlantic. 

They were then posted to Chivenor in North Devon and played an active role in the development of a secret weapon to counter the German U-boat menace (the Leigh Light project with Wellington bombers). After returning to Australia, they joined the RAAF and participated in the Balikpapan invasion as part of RAAF No. 23 Squadron.
