Comments: An authentic account in detail the harsh conditions of the jungle fighting in the Kokoda Track Campaign. It was the combined writings and testimony of the author and fellow correspondents Johnston, Wilmot and Parer that led to the Allies adopting green camouflage for jungle warfare.

Good condition – Still tightly bound.  2.5cm tear to pages 229 & 231 from the edge to the text.  Appears as thought the pages were closed together when bound and on opening the two connected pages tearing as occurred.  No text missing as a result of these tears.  Some staining to page blocks and edges of pages, again this does not affect the text.
