Comments: A great source of information about the Australian Flying Corps (AFC) and the Royal Flying Corps (RFC) aircraft. Now an exceptionally scarce and sought after reference book.
The title page drawn and illuminated by Fred Leist, and 52 plates illustrating amongst others the 41 battle planes presented by subscribers in Australia. Of the 94 battle planes which fought in the Great War, 1914 – 1918, Australia presented 41, and Malaya 53.
Slightly water damaged and professionally rebound with new end papers. Still a very readable copy, of an exceptionally rare book.
