Comments: The author volunteered as an airman in the RAAF during World War 2. He trained in Australia and was sent to Singapore, part of Malaya at that time. He served as an observer in 27 RAF Squadron RAAF during World War 2.
On his return to Australia the author was posted to 22 Squadron, then 11 Squadron and concluded the war in 12 Squadron. The name of the story is based on lucky escapes from two aircraft crashes and one near crash. The story is from his diary, logbook and private records kept by him, and the photographs mainly taken by him.
